Twenty-five years behind the lens
Kari Breen has photographed animals for more than twenty-five years. For decades she studied under the world-renowned photographers Louise and Joseph Simone.
Through years of travel, she has been quietly collecting these images. Hearth & Fur is where those images are finally being released, one collection at a time.
Each piece is created entirely in camera. No landscapes are constructed and no skies are replaced. What you see on the wall is what was in front of her lens.
Giving back to the animals
At home in Fort Worth, Kari volunteers her photography for Saving Hope Rescue.
She also helped raise just under $60,000, enough for eleven human-grade bulletproof vests for the Fort Worth Police Department K-9 Unit and the Fort Worth Fire Department’s arson and bomb dogs, and an additional K-9 for the police department.
